Check out the Magento Syntax Highlighter Extension by Plugin Company.
It's completely free and a must have when editing CMS pages, Products, Newsletter templates and other text fields in the Magento admin environment.
It supports a lot of fields, and highlights HTML, CSS and Javascript.
Did I mention it integrates completely with the default tinyMCE editor?
